BLACKPINK’s “Dance Practice Video” Hits 4 Million Views on YouTube
The first team dance practice video of YG Entertainment’s new girl group “BLACKPINK” has surpassed four million views.
As of July 21 at 8AM, within 16 days of the release of BLACKPINK’s dance practice video, it recorded 4,045,725 views. BLACKPINK, a rookie band who has yet to make an official debut, has gained a nickname of “record-setter” with such high number of views of their video. As such, the rookies are already drawing keen attention on-line.
The video has recorded one million views within a day of release, two million in three days, three million in nine days, and four million in only two weeks, recording a rapid growth in the number of views and also proving BLACKPINK’s already-big popularity.
BLACKPINK is enjoying popularity not only in Korea but also overseas. Fans from around the world are enthusiastically cheering for JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ, and LISA in different forms, by posting dance cover and reaction videos.
YG’s main producer TEDDY who has given birth to a lot of BIGBANG and 2NE1’s hit songs worked on the debut album of BLACKPINK for the past two years, for the team’s official debut. So far, BLACKPINK has completed music videos for three new songs.
