BLACKPINK Officially Becomes the Most Subscribed Music Act in the History of YouTube
BLACKPINK has achieved a major YouTube feat!
On September 10 at approximately 2:42 p.m. KST, BLACKPINK surpassed 65.2 million subscribers on YouTube. This makes BLACKPINK now the No. 1 most followed artist on YouTube.
This is five years and three months since BLACKPINK’s channel was created on June 28, 2016. BLACKPINK’s channel became the second most subscribed artist channel in September 2020, and now it has surpassed Justin Bieber’s channel to become No. 1.
Regarding this accomplishment, BLACKPINK commented, “We can’t believe it. It’s a miracle-like moment created by BLINK (BLACKPINK’s fandom). We want to share this honor with our fans around the world who always love and support us.”
The members added, “As this is a result that we accomplished together with our fans, we hope fans will also share this joy. We will become artists who continue to give positive energy through good music and videos.”
